Vai Quistraih

Adopted brother to Vedic Rünheist, the Avatar of Time, Vai grew to be a master swordsman and marksman with a bow that knew very few equals. Capable of some Mythical ability, he did not rely on it with any severity, and instead only used it when he was not able to attain his goals or reach his target in any other way.

Early Years ( 10 ~ 19 )

Born the son of a blacksmith and huntress, Vai was raised around weaponry and had always found it fascinating. Growing up to be a skilled swordsman with a very fluid style favoring lighter, thinner blades, as well as an excellent marksman, he was well known in his village as a tracker capable of surpassing many of the adults in the area. At a young age, Vai's father took in the orphaned Vedic and raised the boy as his own. The two became very close and spent most of their waking moments together training in swordplay and Mythic Arts. Vai was specifically proficient with Elemental Light, and although his own abilities paled in comparison to the strength of his adopted brother, it did not cause any amount of envy.

Young Adulthood ( 19 ~ 26 )

Occasionally aiding his brother when things grew difficult or particularly violent in one area of their hometown, Vai typically volunteered to track down the faster fugitives. During one of these pursuits, Vai came across lost, disoriented traveler. After some period of rest, the traveler revealed himself to be Azraith Goldenwing, a skilled warrior capable with Holy techniques. Azraith explained that he had been searching for a legion of twisted, mindless armies, and that his search had brought him to this place.

Shortly after Azratih's arrival, the Dark Soldiers appeared for the first time, striking at Vai's home town. Aiding in the fight, Vai fought alongside Vedic, Azraith, Tahariel, and a handful of other fighters. They were able to push back wave after wave of the Soldiers, but the fighting seemed endless. It was only a few days at most between new waves of the creatures, but during that time it was determined that the Dark Soldiers were hunting Vedic specifically.

Vai reluctantly accepted his adopted brother's decision to a self imposed exile for the safety of their home, and took on the responsibilities of protecting the city. For the next few months Vai fought off the remaining waves of Dark Soldiers with Azraith's help. Soon the groups of Soldiers began to decay in size until they finally stopped. Afterwards life seemed to return to normal, and Vai proceeded to protect the civilians within the city's borders.
