RealmjumperRealmjumperA shrine of various sizes and designs, it has one specific purpose; to transport its user from its realm to another. A Realmjumper is in essence a launching platform. Combining a host of Mythical energies, a person standing upon the shrine, and once it was fully 'charged', it would project them to another realm. While it is common that the destination realm would have a Realmjumper of its own, it is not required. Realmjumpers are a take-off point, but require no specific 'end point.' It is also unlikely that someone can use a Realmjumper to travel to the destination of their choosing. ConstructionBuilding a Realmjumper requires gathering stones saturated with energy from each of the Eight Elements. Once this has been done, so long as the eight stones are placed in close proximity to each other, creating a central point with which a person can stand, the construction is complete. Realmjumpers may be made of several additional decorative stones, or have some symmetry to their design, but this is unnecessary for their function. ControlAttempting to control a Realmjumper is fairly ineffectual. It seems that very little intent can be imparted upon the Realmjumper before its activation, and it is likely that two people using the Realmjumper separately from each other, but even immediately after one another, will be transferred to different realms ( Editor's Note: see the exodus of the Saints during the Runick Conflict ) while two people using it at the same time will almost indefinitely be sent to the same destination ( Editor's Note: see the exile of Vedic Rünheist and Tahariel ) without attempting to do so. |
