AustereAustereOnce the crown jewel of the habitable hemisphere of Nubaria, Austere is located in the very center of the four border regions. Because of the rather xenophobic views of its ruling class, its own borders are highly guarded and patrolled. Austere once had a strong military however long term conflicts with the Meggians has slowly weakened its fighting force, leaving it on a permanent defensive state. Austere is ruled by a feudal Monarchy which has always felt an air of superiority over not only its own citizens, but all living creatures on Nubaria. This has made for a straining state in trade negotiations with its western and southern neighbors, the Viken and Leviar. |
